In 1985, I displayed my T-shirt art in the International T-shirt artists' exibition at the Museum of Contempory Art in Chicago. Soon to follow, I was teaching the technique of painting on silk at Club Med, and I was sent on a journey to Playa Blanca in Mexico just South of Puerto Vallarta. I also taught art in Ixtapa and Huatulco, Mexico. While living in Mexico and feeling exotic, I started to use another signature, 'Marco Rey' which is the Latin version of my first and middle name... Currently my tropical artwork is featured at Galeria Azul in Cozumel, Mexico and you can find my abstract paintings at Wall Art Gallery in Sarasota, Florida, located on St. Armand's Circle. Most of my paintings are on silk or acrylics on canvas. I also create mixed media images and enjoy taking my own photographs when looking for new inspiration for paintings...
